I recently did an interview with Eromonsele from Ericotrips, in which I talk about my travels, blogging, and everything in between. Feel free to give it a read! 🙂

I just read the interview and found it really interesting – I don’t think I’d fully appreciated the extent of your travels, nor how long you’ve been blogging about them 🙂

Nice post and interview 50 countries in seven years is huge accomplishment! I did 81 but in 45 years lol!! Cheers

Haha, actually, it’s 50 countries I’ve been to in the past 30 years! I think I’ve visited more than half of them in the past seven years. But I hope to visit more!

I enjoyed reading your interview and could relate on the slower travel (coming from my experience where my first few travels were like an amazing race).
May you enjoy your future adventures in 2024 and beyond.

Glad you could relate! Slower travel comes with experience, as we get older and learn to appreciate the joys of what you see and feel on your travels. Here’s to an adventurous 2024!

Awesome interview, Rebecca, and thank you so much for the shoutout! I too laughed at your accidental French innuendo, and the Faroe Islands is really high on my travel list as well. What a wonderful way to wrap up your 7th year of blogging. Happy New Year and wishing you a 2024 full of even more adventures!

I enjoyed reading your interview! Sladja and I are both dreaming about a visit to the Faroe Islands, perhaps we’ll meet there by chance one day. Georgia is an amazing country to explore, perhaps still a touch under the radar. I agree that consistency and love of travel writing are key components for an enduring and successful (and different people will understand success differently) blog. Thanks for listing Leighton Travels among your inspirational reads, the feeling is mutual.

I think I started following your blog four years ago, just when I stumbled across your China posts. How time flies! I plan to visit the Faroe Islands in the next year or so, so we’ll have to see! If we chance upon each other, that would be fantastic! Wishing you more adventures to come 😊

This is such an amazing interview, Rebecca and congratulations on visiting 50 countries in just seven years, that’s an amazing accomplishment. I have always been curious about what happens behind the scenes of other world traveller adventures and bloggers and therefore found your answers very interesting. Cheers. Aiva xx

I didn’t visit 50 countries in 7 years, but rather I visited 50 countries by age 26 or so. Still a huge accomplishment, nevertheless! Thanks for reading and commenting, Aiva. 🙂

Great summary. I am now wondering which countries are included in the 50!

Too many to list here in the Comments! There’s still a lot of the world to see, though 🙂

Understandable. Yes around 130 more countries for you and 165 for me. : )
