Hey, folks!
I was nominated by fellow travel blogger Anita from 100 Country Trek (thanks, dear!) to post one favorite travel picture a day for ten days without explanation, then nominate someone else to participate. Thatβs 10 days, 10 travel pictures, and 10 nominations. It is fun to search through my favorite photos, bringing back memories of my travels. Today, I nominate Lookoom to do this challenge.
PS I wonβt be doing this challenge over 10 consecutive days, just because I have other posts Iβd like to share with you in the meantime. But rest assured: more photos will arrive in the next weeks (and months) to come!

At first I thought it was Salzburg but then I looked closer and recognized the little castle on the hill.it is Ljubljana,Slovenia

Correct! Salzburg is a good guess, too, as its layout is very similar to Ljubljana’s!

I don’t know where it is, though it reminds me of a central european city like Salzburg! But it looks like a super cute city π

Great photo, I wouldn’t have guessed the city.

Thanks, Leighton! I think the castle on the hill gave it away for most people…granted, if you never visited before, you probably wouldn’t have known!

I would love to ride the funicular to the top of Castle Hill. Valters had a chance to visit Ljubljana a few years ago for the Ice Hockey championship, and he came back home completely smitten by the charming city π

Yes, I didn’t have time to go up to the castle, as I only had a couple of hours in Ljubljana. But I think having the castle views instead are a lot prettier! No wonder people are smitten by this city! π

Iβm thinking Eastern Europe (all those colourful buildings, and the greenery around the city!), but would struggle to pinpoint a town/city! Looks like a lovely panoramic view, though π

This particular country straddles Central and Eastern Europe, so you get points for being relatively close! Thanks for playing along, Rosie. π

It looks beautiful; I didn’t know where it was until I read the comments though π I had Ljubljana and Lake Bled on my list pre COVID so hope I get to visit one day; even more so now!

I have not been to Lake Bled yet, and that’s at the top of my list to check out once I return to that part of Europe! I hope you can visit Slovenia someday. π
