Now, a quick word from our sponsors… (hah, I wish)
I have realized that, in all my four years of blogging here, I have never made a “Meet and Greet” type of post in which I offer Followers to promote their blogs. And considering that I see many of you engaging through Comments and Likes on my posts, I feel embarrassed for not getting to know you better in the blogosphere. Shame on me.
That said, I am making this post for you to tell me a bit about yourself, your blog, and anything else you’d like to share. I will be reading, responding, and following, and I encourage anyone who participates in this to follow each other. Feel free to answer the following (I’ll likewise do the same):
- Introduce yourself.
- Your hometown and place you currently live.
- Your blog’s URL.
- Fun fact about yourself.
- Next place you want to travel to.
Here’s mine (and rare face reveal):
1. Introduce yourself.
Rebecca.
2. Your hometown and place you currently live.
Los Angeles, both hometown and current city (although I’ve previously lived in France and Taiwan).
3. Your blog’s URL.
https://rebeccagoesrendezvous.wordpress.com/
4. Fun fact about yourself.
I add hot sauce to almost everything I eat. A LOT of it.
5. Next place you want to travel to.
Ukraine has been on my list since forever. Fascinated with Soviet history and equally-fascinated by those of ex-USSR countries. Some day, I hope!
That’s it for now! Follow each other, and let’s spread the love in the blogging community! ❤

Hi Rebecca – nice to e-meet you! I’m Hannah, hometown and current city Cambridge, UK! https://theatozoftravel.com/ my fun fact is that I’ve ran two marathons (pretty badly) in Paris. I’m really desperate to visit the Philippines for island hopping soon! Hope you’re keeping well and looking forward to reading more of your blogs! 🙂

Hi Rebecca, my name’s Don. I’m American, but after nearly half a century here in Frankfurt, Germany, I definitely consider this to be my hometown. My URL is https://operasandcycling.com/. So far I have been to performances in seventy-one German opera houses, and I hope to get around to the other twelve in the next few years, before their funding dries up. I was meant to be in Paris right now, but had to cancel because of the pandemic. But I’m hoping to at least go to Bavaria next month for a family event.

Pleasure to meet you, Don! It’s remarkable how you’ve spent 25 years abroad. Frankfurt is a beautiful city, one of my favorites in Germany. I hope you get to at least travel within the country this summer, as it seems like a great opportunity to do so!

I’ve actually been living here in Frankfurt for nearly fifty years, since 1970. But I also go to France quite often, or at least I used to until the coronavirus pandemic started.

Hi Rebecca.
I love how mature and creative with your posts you are for such a young lady (comparing to me!!). I’ve loved exchanging with you on France and education because your feedback is always articulate and thorough. So here I am
1. My name is Vero 2. I’m French and have lived in Marseille and Paris. I have been stuck in rural Brittany now for 5 years and I can’t wait for our next move! 3. My blogs are “https://lesfrenchchronicles.wordpress.com” (in English) and just started https://rocktheapocalypse.wordpress.com (en français). 4. I write and think in English (as wobbly as it can be!!) mostly even though I left England more than twenty years ago. 5. I can’t wait to go back to Japan. There are plenty of new destinations on my wish list but my desire to see more of Japan will prevail whenever possible!

Re-bonjour, Vero! I likewise love following your blogs, and I do hope you get to return to Japan some day soon.

Stay safe xxx

Nice to meet you, Andrew! I’m sad to hear that Australia is experiencing severe lockdown, but it’s a lot better than what’s happening in the U.S. I’ve taken a look at your blog, and it’s admirable you’ve hit 84 countries before the pandemic. You got yourself a new follower!
